When two Italians get together and ask each other "What should we do?" a very common answer is, "Let's go for a passeggiata"- or stroll. Italians take a stroll to enjoy their beautiful weather, to help digest their 5 course meals and to look for yet new sources of food. Trastevere is my favorite place for a "passeggiata" because it has gorgeous and romantic cobble stone alleys, great food every couple of steps, beautiful architecture and art. I also love that it's ALWAYS lively, whether you visit at 3 pm or 3 am and you can usually count on being entertained by comedians, fire jugglers, violin players and other street performers along the way. So, let's go for our passeggiata!
