The gods of food are smiling upon London. In the past 10 years, food has become the national sport and London has a few hot spots of really good food outlets, Covent Garden is one of them. This former wholesale fruits and vegetable market was redeveloped in early 2000 to become the popular shopping and tourist center we know today. Street food is everywhere in the central part of the market and there are many food tours to take you around for a fee but no need for that just follow us and we will visit a famous cheese shop, make a compulsory stop in a classy macarons shop, pick and mix in a cafe Bombay style before eating at London's oldest restaurant where we can often spot a celebrity or two
