Description: The Tower of London is traditionally associated as a prison and a site of execution, although relatively few individuals were actually executed within the walls of the Tower itself. Executions took place more frequently at Tower Hill, a short distance to the north from the Tower of London. The site of the old scaffold is now a memorial garden with memorial plaques listing the names of prominent individuals who were executed at the site, including Thomas More and Thomas Cromwell.

This pub in Whitechapel is associated with Annie Chapman and Mary Kelly, two women who were victims of the notorious East London murderer Jack the Ripper, whose identity continues to be a mystery. The pub derives its name from the bells of Christ Church, Spitalfields, located near the establishment. Description: The Charterhouse is a collection of buildings situated on the site of a Carthusian priory founded in 1371 and dissolved in 1537. The priory was founded on a site which functioned as a burial pit for victims of the Black Death. The Black Death of 1348 devastated Europe and may have killed up to 30,000 people in London out of a total of 70,000 inhabitants. After the dissolution of the priory, the premises were converted to serve as a mansion for wealthy noblemen. The site has been open to the public since 2017, and there is a museum.
