The famous names of Hampstead

London 1 day 6 stops 1.0 hours All Season 1413

ABOUT THIS TRAIL

Hampstead today is a leafy and affluent part of London which attracts many of the rich and famous. The likes of comedians Michael McIntyre and Ricky Gervais, musicians Sting and Boy George, and actors Michael Palin and Dame Judi Dench have all had homes here. But this is not a map of the stars´ homes route. Instead, we delve into Hampstead´s past and visit the former residences of the likes of Richard Burton, H.G. Wells, Oscar Wilde and John Constable.

To quote Robert Louis Stevenson, Hampstead is “the most delightful place for air and scenery in London" and who´s going to argue with that?
