Wander around bustling Little India

Take in the sights, smells, and sounds

Singapore 1 day 4 stops 4.3 hours All Season 359

A lively and colorful district, Little India retains much of its charm from the past with a variety of authentic Indian cuisine and Hindu temples as well as Buddhist temples, mosques and shops selling gold jewelry, trinkets, and second-hand ware. With a large South Asian community in Singapore, local businesses stock the latest Bollywood films, and you'll be able to find vendors selling flower garlands from their carts. In the past decade, artists have been moving into the area and more hostels and boutique hotels have sprung up. If you wish to bring back little souvenirs, Little India is probably a great place to visit. As you go along this route, you will probably be tempted to stray into smaller streets and linger in shops or cafes. That's the lure of this place.
