Barrio Gothic Off The Beaten Path

An afternoon with Picasso

Barcelona 1 day 5 stops 4.0 hours All Season 208

ABOUT THIS TRAIL

Barcelona, one of Europe’s most famous tourist destinations packs tourists from all over the world into a sprawling urban area running alongside the Mediterranean coast. Travelers are drawn to the eccentric city for reasons such as their futbol team, extravagant works of Gaudi, fantastic restaurants and an overall good time. Today’s route is based off the idea of how to find the least touristy spots in the most touristic areas of Barcelona. Parts of the city center are so colonized with tourism that at times it feels like it’s impossible to find a “local refuge”. Without a doubt, this Spanish adult version of Disney world attracts such large numbers of visitors for good reason. The Catalan people appreciate being in the sun, drinking sangria (or cava) and admiring traditional works of art just as much as the throngs of people that visit Barcelona every year.

Today’s route will lead you directly to least touristy spots in the most touristic areas of Barcelona.
